Terms & Conditions of Service

Trusted Domestic Help Placement Service | Effective from May 2025

Welcome to Cleanly Maid Service. By registering with us, interviewing a candidate, or hiring help through our platform, you agree to the terms set out in this document. These terms are designed to ensure a smooth, transparent, and respectful experience for both clients and domestic help candidates.

1. SERVICE PLANS & FEES

We offer two service plans each for Part-Time and Full-Time maid placement. Please choose the plan that best fits your needs.

A) PART-TIME MAID PLACEMENT

PLAN 1: STANDARD MAID PLACEMENT

Designed for customers looking for a simple and reliable hiring process.

  • Maid interviews arranged at your home (cooking, cleaning, patient care, elder care, babysitting, etc.)
  • Identity & document verification of the candidate
  • Assistance in creating a simple service agreement between client and maid
  • 1 free replacement within 1 month from the date of joining

Service Fee: Rs. 6,000/- (One-time)

PLAN 2: VERIFIED MAID PLACEMENT

Suitable for customers who prefer additional safety and background verification.

  • All services covered under Plan 1
  • Police verification is initiated for every maid, including checks for available police records and basic verification steps, this adds an extra layer of safety and trust, and we will keep you updated once competed.
  • 2 free replacement within 6 months from the date of joining

Service Fee: Rs. 12,000/- (One-time)

B) FULL-TIME MAID PLACEMENT

VERIFIED MAID PLACEMENT

Suitable for customers who prefer additional safety and background verification.

  • Maid interviews arranged at your home (cooking, cleaning, patient care, elder care, babysitting, etc.)
  • Identity & document verification of the candidate
  • Assistance in creating a simple service agreement between client and maid
  • Police verification is initiated for every maid, including checks for available police records and basic verification steps, this adds an extra layer of safety and trust, and we will keep you updated once competed.
  • 2 free replacements within 6 months from the date of joining

Service Fee: Equivalent to 1 Month Salary (One-time)

2. REGISTRATION PROCESS

How It Works

  • Registration fee — you pay 500rs as registration fee which will be adjusted in your final service fee.
  • Share your requirements — type of work, working hours, and salary offered.
  • We arrange interviews with pre-screened candidates at your home.
  • Please evaluate the candidate carefully based on your requirements, responsibilities, and expectations. As the employer, you are responsible for the final selection and for ensuring the candidate meets your needs. (If the candidate does not meet your expectations, we will continue the search and arrange other suitable candidates.)
  • Once you select a candidate, you will pay the service fee.
  • A 1-day evaluation is provided to check the candidate's suitability.
  • If the candidate is not continued, the customer must pay 1 day's salary directly to the candidate.
  • If the candidate is continued beyond the evaluation day, it will be considered a completed placement, and the replacement policy will apply thereafter.
Important: We encourage clients to evaluate candidates based on their skills and work ethic — not on appearance, age. Fair assessment leads to longer-lasting and more dependable placements.

3. SALARY & PAYMENT TO CANDIDATE

Client Responsibilities

All salary payments are to be made directly by the client to the candidate on a mutually agreed schedule. CLEANLY does not handle or mediate salary transactions.

Days Worked

If the domestic help leaves for any reason, the client is responsible for paying the proportional salary for the number of days actually worked, including during the trial period.

Advance Salary

Paying an advance is entirely at the client's discretion. We advise caution, as CLEANLY is not in a position to assist in recovering any advance amount paid if the candidate leaves early.

4. REFUND POLICY

Service Fee Refund

  • The service fee is non-refundable once paid.
  • Replacement support will be provided as per the plan.
  • If Cleanly is unable to arrange an interview for a replacement candidate within 15 days from the date the maid leaves, 50% of the service fee will be refunded for the 1st replacement and 25% for the second replacement.
  • Up to 1–3 candidate interviews will be provided during the replacement process. (In some cases, additional interviews may be provided as a goodwill gesture, at Cleanly’s discretion)

No-Refund Situations

No refund will be processed in the following circumstances:

  • The candidate left due to mistreatment, unfair workload increase, or salary reduction by the client.
  • The client has unpaid salary dues to the candidate.
  • The client changed the scope of work or terms without informing us.
Important: We are committed to finding the right fit for your home. If you are dissatisfied, please reach out to us first — we will always try our best to help before any refund or replacement is discussed.

5. REPLACEMENT POLICY

Free Replacement Periods

  • Plan 1 (Standard): 1 free replacement within 1 month of joining.
  • Plan 2 (Verified): 2 free replacements within 6 months of joining.

Replacement Conditions

A replacement will be arranged when the current candidate leaves without valid reason or does not perform the agreed duties satisfactorily. Replacements are subject to candidate availability. We aim to arrange a replacement within 72 hours but this may take up to 15 days in some cases.

Additional Replacement Charges (Beyond the Free Period)

  • Full-time workers: Rs. 4,000/- per replacement
  • Part-time workers: Rs. 2,500/- per replacement

Replacement Rules

  • The replacement candidate's salary must be equal to or higher than the previous candidate's agreed salary.
  • The job description and working hours must remain the same as in the original agreement.
  • Please give us at least 15 days' notice before releasing a candidate, so we can arrange a smooth transition.
  • All pending salary dues to the outgoing candidate must be cleared before a replacement is sent.

Temporary Absence

If the candidate is absent due to illness or a personal emergency and intends to return, no replacement will be initiated during this period. If she does not return within 7 days, a replacement request may be raised. Temporary short-term cover is not available through our platform.

Situations Where Replacement Will Not Be Provided

  • The candidate left because of tasks assigned beyond the agreed job description.
  • The candidate left due to salary reduction or non-payment.
  • The candidate left due to mental or physical mistreatment.

6. WORKER WELL-BEING & FAIR TREATMENT

CLEANLY is committed to the dignity and safety of every domestic help candidate we place. By using our services, the client agrees to the following:

  • The candidate will not be subjected to any form of physical, verbal, or mental harm.
  • The workload will not be increased beyond what was agreed at the time of placement.
  • The candidate's salary will not be reduced from the agreed amount without mutual consent.
  • The candidate will be treated with respect, fairness, and professionalism at all times.
Important: Any violation of these terms will result in immediate cancellation of replacement and refund benefits, without exception.

7. POLICE VERIFICATION

For Plan 2 (Verified Maid Placement), police verification is initiated for every maid, including checks for available police records and basic verification steps, this adds an extra layer of safety and trust, and we will keep you updated once competed.

For Plan 1, we strongly encourage clients to independently arrange a police verification of the candidate before allowing them to join. CLEANLY will not be held responsible for any civil or criminal acts committed by the candidate during or after the period of employment.

8. SCOPE OF WORK

At the time of registration, clients must clearly provide the job description — including the type of work required (cooking, cleaning, patient care, babysitting, etc.), working hours, and salary offered. This forms the basis of the service agreement.

  • The candidate may not be asked to perform duties outside this agreed scope.
  • Additional tasks, if any, may be mutually agreed upon between the customer and the candidate.
  • The salary agreed upon at the time of placement cannot be reduced after joining.

9. GENERAL TERMS

Contract Validity

  • Full-time placements: Contract valid for 6 months from date of placement.
  • Part-time placements: Contract valid for 6 months from date of placement.

No renewal fee is applicable if the same candidate continues beyond the contract period and the client does not require replacement benefits.

Our Role

CLEANLY functions purely as a placement and matching platform. We do not intervene in the day-to-day employment relationship between the client and the domestic help. Any workplace disputes should be resolved directly between the concerned parties, or through appropriate legal channels if needed.

Jurisdiction

All disputes arising from or related to this agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Pune courts only.

Agreement by Conduct

By hiring a candidate through CLEANLY, calling us for placement, or visiting our platform, it is understood that the client has read and agreed to all terms stated in this document — regardless of whether a physical signature has been obtained.
